The Infinity has the biting traction we’ve come to expect from Kyrie shoes. Its responsive Zoom cushioning and pronounced court feel are ideal for guards, though it’s a versatile sneaker that can support many playing styles.

After the leak of the Nike Kyrie 8 (later dubbed the “Infinity”), Irving took to Instagram to call his own upcoming shoes “trash“, though the release has put to bed some of the initial quality worries.

An updated 3-layer cushioning system uses an Air Zoom unit in the forefoot sandwiched between a moulded sockliner and soft foam. Dynamic internal bands poke through the upper, and the laces feed through them.
